Shooting your infomercial is only the start.Once you have all your footage, you’re ready to put it together in the post-production phase. This is the stage where you make edits and organize the footage you have shot. Post-production involves:

  • editing- putting together the whole picture for your audience to understand your product.

  • voice-over recording- spoken text to communicate emotions and attitudes through the use of voice.

  • music- music helps set the tone of a scene. Music creates mood and evokes emotion.

  • sound effects- sound effects can provide a sense of realism by enriching the story or make the setting more believable

  • special effects- effects include title design, opticals, visual effects and digital intermediates,

  • graphics- graphics are utilized for posting essential information such as phone numbers, web site addresses, etc.

  • composing- deciding where to add still images, titles and audio that you have selected to enhance your infomercial's message.

  • mastering- the process of editing and assembling the infomercial including level adjustment, proper sequencing, tweaking the spacing and producing a master ready for duplication
